Head Start Spotlight
Cullman City Head Start has been serving the families of Cullman City for over 50 years. It all began in 1965 at St. John‘s Church. The program was previously housed in West Elementary School before finding a home at Cullman City Primary School. Cullman City Head Start has been housed at Cullman City Primary School for 25 years.
Cullman City Head Start serves all eligible students and families who reside in Cullman City limits. The Program operates 180 days a year from 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
CCHS employs highly prepared teachers who are equipped to provide a quality learning experience for our students.
CCHS understands the importance of strong foundation for leaning and the impact that has on student success.
Preparing our teachers to provide the highest quality instructional program possible, begins with professional development.
Transition to kindergarten is an important event for our students and their families.
Our program uses Federal funds, as well as In-Kind Matching funds to maintain services.
Parental involvement is a critical component of a child's educational process.
